Where To Use
With Pre payment systems, building management companies are able to collect the electricity, water and heating consumption payments of the tenants in advance. Reading of the meters, invoicing, distribution of the invoices and collection of the payment become automatic thus providing big benefits for facility management especially in commercial and shopping centers.
General
Timosys pre payment system can be applied to mechanical meters (water and heat meters) as well as electricity meters. The prepayment module retrieves consumption values through serial communication and calculates the credit consumed and credit available.
When no more credit remains, the module opens the circuit breaker or switches off the motor operated valve. The system can be operated remotely or by using a USB stick for charging new credit to the module manually.
Operating modes
The pre payment module can be operated in different modes : Worksite / Operator approved , automatic operation, software operated modes.
Worksite/ Operator approved
When the credit limit falls below the preset limit, the “credit limit low” warning appears on the operator screen, then changes to “no credit” warning if no credit is topped up. In this case, the system allows the operator to cut the energy to the consumer. The operator enters the authorization code when the pop up window appears right next to the meter icon.
Automatic mode
When the credit limit falls below the preset limit, the “credit limit low” warning appears on the operator screen, then changes to “no credit” warning if no credit is topped up. The circuit breaker is automatically opened (or valve closed) when no more credit remains.
Software operated mode
This mode is intended for commissioning stage. No credit control is applied, the system allows sending open and close commands through the software or with the help of the USB stick.
Parameters monitored by the Supervision Software :
The measurement parameters displayed on the Supervision Software are as follows:
A-) Electricity meter
a-) Phase currents ( 3 separate measurements per phase)
b-) Phase currents ( 3 separate measurements per phase)
c-) Power measurement (active and reactive)
d-) Frequency
e-) Power factor ( cos Ø )
f-) Active and reactive energies ( 2 different tariffs for mains and genset)
A total of 14 parameters are monitored by the software.
B-) Pre payment module
a-) Total credit charged
b-) Remaining credit
c-) Last amount of credit topped up
d-) Date of last credit top up
e-) Credit limit warning
f-) Pre payment operating mode ( Worsite, automatic and software operated)
g-) Position of digital I/O
C-) Water meters
a-) Water consumption m³
D-) Heat meters
a-) Heating and cooling consumption kWh
